Bee Gees Singer Diagnosed with Liver Cancer
Robin Gibb, the past lead singer for the Bee Gees, has been identified with liver cancer. No one can forget the wonderful gift to the world of music in the Bee Gees songs. Robin Gibb has incredible talent as a song writer as well as singer. Well famous as the "Stayin Alive" singer, there here has been no official word about the illness from the Gibb's camp.
The 61 year old Bee Gees Singer was broken the news a few months ago. The news only came into stronger circulation due to a series of missed appearances by the singer. He was briefly hospitalized and then is now recovering at his home. He had to cancel several of his appointments and appearances due to his illness.
Robin Gibb, Bee Gees Singer experienced real bad abdominal pain this spring. His 91-year-old mother flew in recently from her home in Miami to his home in Thame, Oxfordshire. Even his brother, Barry made an appearance to be besides his ailing brother. The singer had been fighting several bouts of sicknesses which forced him to call off different public appearances. The Bee Gees Singer went through gastro-intestinal surgery in August. He looked frail and weak. It seems he has inflammation in the colon.
According to his wife Dwina, who hasn’t left his side, the diagnosis doesn’t look good. Although it is still not confirmed, it seems his twin brother Maurice Gibb too succumbed to the illness some years ago.
Bee Gees songs have worldwide fan following and are popular to this day. Who can forget "Stayin' Alive",("How Deep Is Your Love", and "Night Fever".
But Robin is a fighter with a strong character. He keeps getting encouragement from his fans, in their emails, messages and has his family by his side all the time.
